I Believe…

… in the inspiration and authority of the Scriptures, as the holy Word of God to humankind. The original writings were free of any error, being verbally and plenarily inspired of God through men. The Scriptures are the only acceptable judge of doctrine, conduct and practice.

… that there is only one true living God, the God of the Bible. This God is the source of all existence, and the creation. In the unity of the Godhead, there are three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, equal, executing distinct yet harmonious offices in the work of redemption.

… in the literal Genesis account of Creation. Mankind was created by God in His own image, without any room for evolution. That all animal and vegetable life were made directly, and God’s established law was that they should bring forth only “after” their kind.

… in the deity, virgin birth, and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ.

… in the visible and premillennial return, in person, of Jesus Christ.

… that salvation is by grace alone. It is freely offered to all, and it is the responsibility of the individual to accept (or reject) God’s gift of eternal life. The only requirement is faith in Jesus Christ.

… that baptism is of the believer in water, and is the first instruction of Scripture to the born again believer. It is to reflect the death and burial of the “old man” and the resurrection of the new life in Jesus Christ.

… that the Lord’s Supper is an ordinance to be observed by the local church as a remembrance only, as Jesus Christ instructed.

… that the church is a local body of baptized believers solely autonomous and under the authority of Jesus Christ. Its function is to perform Scriptural ordinances, care for the saints and fulfill Christ’s instruction to evangelize the lost world, baptize and teach them.
